hello potential housemates!

I’M MOVING BACK HOME TO MAUI

…and am organizing everything to begin renting out three rooms in my 4BR/4B country home in Pe’ahi Haiku with the dream of creating a communal sanctuary of excellent vibes in a beautiful, creative, inspiring living environment.

As you can see if you navigate to the rest of this wesite, I am a photographer by trade. Please excuse these sub-par photos, which I regret are all I have to present to right now. My mother periodically erases photos from her phone storage to make room, so these are a hodgepodge of old photos taken from her Facebook page and photos that we were able to request from prior tenants. We have not given our current tenants their 45 days notice yet and so we don’t have current photos. SO MUCH WILL GET UPGRADED, starting with the paint colors and furniture.

I’m open to short term or long term. This is perfect for someone wanting to spend a month or two on Maui… and it’s also perfect for someone who wants to be here long-term

My mother and grandmother built this house atop the highest point on our 8 acre off-grid property (Although now this part of the property has on-grid power). We enjoy drinking and bathing in the purest of pure rainwater from our catchment system. We have ample space for raised-bed gardening. Raising chickens is also definitely going to happen. Almost every room and balcony in this house has an ocean view.

We are 12 minutes to Pauwela Cannery, 14 minutes to Makawao Town, 15 minutes to Haiku Marketplace. I like to bring my morning coffee down to a sweet little local waterfall which is only 10 minutes away.

I would prefer to rent to people who enjoy communal living with other chill, fun, creative, emotionally responsible, growth-minded, legit people.

Open to both men and women. We all need to thoroughly pass each other’s vibe checks. I’m all about common sense and clear communication. Shared overt expectations are better than making a bunch of rules.

All rooms share access to the kitchen, open floorpan living / dining room, and a large covered Lanai.

I already have the sweetest angel baby dog who is everyone’s dream girl. I’m happy to consider your pets, too, if they’re a good cultural fit.

Please keep in mind these are the color and decor choices of previous tenants. I am open to re-painting!! I will also completely decorate, furnish and repaint the a room for you if you want to pay a higher rent. I love decorating and am awesome at it. We can discuss.
